The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum hosts the Annual Traditional Cowboy Arts Association (TCAA) Exhibition and sale. The exhibit showcases the work of TCAA members, who work to preserve and promote the skills of saddlemaking, bit and spur making, silversmithing and rawhide braiding and the role of these traditional crafts in cowboy culture in the American West. The show is an annual tribute to the continuing vitality of Western craftsmanship.

This year marks the 12th Anniversary of the Traditional Cowboy Arts Association. Our annual TCAA Exhibition and Sale will open with a public reception on Friday evening, September 24, 2010. This year the TCAA Exhibition will extend to January 2, 2011. The longer showing will allow thousands of holiday visitors to experience this unique exhibit of Western craftsmanship. On Saturday, September 25, there will be three presentations: a video by filmmaker Adam Jaheil, who accompanied Pedro Pedrini and Cary Schwarz on their trip to France; James Nottage, Vice President of the Eiteljorg Museum, Indianapolis, Indiana, will give a talk “Western Saddles, The Why and What of Collecting;” and a panel discussion on the topic of fine craftsmanship moderated by Cary Schwarz with Scott Hardy, Chuck Stormes, Ernie Marsh and Nate Wald.
